POSITION TO BE FILLED
Industrial Draftsperson / Project Manager
Specialized in Pharmacy and Laboratory
Working closely with the Sales Director, a partner in the company, the draftsperson will primarily be involved in project management, as well as the design and realization of retail space layouts. They will work in synergy with the sales representative and the client to optimize custom projects as defined by management.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the implementation of assigned projects, from site measurements or layout design plans to material research, product sourcing, furniture finishes, and contact with key suppliers;
Consult with clients, engineers, or production specialists to determine product requirements;
Conduct research on production costs, material properties, and manufacturing methods;
Coordinate actions between the client and suppliers. Maintain communication with the client or suppliers to address any project-related questions;
Compile information into a complete file for the sales team;
Monitor the status of project progress (timeline, cost, supplier bid process, etc.) with both the client and project suppliers, and ensure exceptional customer service;
Innovate, create, design, and draft various layout plans and develop design concepts, sketches, or models for approval, either by hand or using computer-aided design (CAD);
Prepare manufacturing plans, technical specifications, and production guidelines, and build a design prototype;
May occasionally be required to participate in promotional activities for the company (trade shows, conventions, etc.);
REQUIRED SKILLS
DEP, AEC, or College diploma in a field relevant to the position.
Proficiency in software (mandatory): AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, eCabinet, Canva, Adobe Suite, Acomba.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a client-oriented approach.
Ability to work as part of a team toward common goals.
Ability to manage multiple files and priorities simultaneously.
Functional proficiency in spoken and written English.
Good command of Microsoft 365 Suite.
Experience in customer service within commercial design and cabinetry (mandatory).
Ability to communicate using both metric and imperial systems.
Specific knowledge in pharmacy laboratories and cabinetry (mandatory).
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Salary: $55,000 to $75,000 depending on experience
Two weeks of vacation annually
Mileage allowance
Group insurance after 3 months
